What is KYC?
Know your customer (KYC) is a process used by banks to authenticate the identity of its clients. This procedure is used to ensure bank services are not being misused and to prevent identity theft, financial fraud, money laundering, and the financing of terrorism. This is required by our payment provider: MangoPay.
When do I turn in KYC identification documentation?
If your total yearly earnings on inzpire.me exceeds €1,000 or $1,150, you will be asked for additional information to verify your identity.
How do I know if I need to turn in documentation?
When you request a payout, you will receive an email indicating that your request has failed.
Once you receive this email, you can check if you exceeded the earnings limit by logging into inzpire.me.
Click on Wallet in the sidebar menu. A message will appear on the screen if you need to provide us with additional documentation.
The message will have the following message:
Blocked due to the Bank Account Owner's KYC limitations (maximum debited or credited amount reached)
If you receive this message, contact us by sending us a chat.
We will ask you for documents to verify your identity. Once your identity is verified by our payment provider, you will be able to request a payout as you would normally.
