Using Multiple Payments

Learn about Multiple Payments and how to use it in bookings.

Updated over 10 months ago

To understand how Multiple Payments works, let’s first take a look at the difference between a Standard Payment and a Multiple Payments booking:

  • Single Payment Booking: The agreed upon booking fee is automatically transferred in full to the creator only after you mark the booking as completed.

  • Multiple Payments Booking: You have the flexibility to manually release payments to the creator over the course of the booking, prior to marking the booking as completed.

How to use Multiple Payments in a booking

You can use Multiple Payments whenever you might need to pay a creator multiple times during a collaboration, such as an ambassadorship program.

To enable Multiple Payments, follow this 3-step process:

  1. First, you’ll need to create a campaign. To do so, select Campaigns in the sidebar menu. Then, click on New Campaign in the top right-hand corner of the page. You’ll then be prompted to write your brief.

  2. During the compensation step, you’ll be asked: How often would you like to release payments? For Multiple Payments, select the option Multiple payments throughout the collaboration.

  3. You’ll then be asked to describe your payment terms. You should clearly communicate how often creators can expect to be paid, and how much. For example: “You’ll receive 1/4 of the total payment each month, for a duration of 4 months. Each payment will be paid to you once you deliver the month’s required content.”

How to release a payment to a creator?

To release a payment to a creator:

  1. Open the relevant booking from the Dashboard.

  2. Next, scroll down to the Payments section on the right-hand side of the booking, then click on Add New Payment.

  3. Type in the payment amount you want to release to the creator and click Pay.

👋 Note: When you select the Multiple Payments option, no additional payments will be automatically paid out when you mark the booking as complete. You’re responsible for ensuring the creator is paid out in full when you complete the booking.
