Connecting channels: common issues

Connected the wrong channel? Follower count not updating? Learn how you can resolve these issues!

I connected the wrong social media channel

Once you've completed your profile, you might notice that you've accidentally connected the wrong social media account to your inzpire.me profile.

To connect the right one, here's what you need to do:

  1. Click on Channels in the sidebar menu.

  2. Locate the social media channel you'd like to change and click Remove.

  3. In another tab, check to see if you’re logged into the correct social media account you'd like to connect.

  4. Click Connect, and follow the on-screen instructions.

My social media stats appear to be incorrect

Your social media stats, such as follower count, reach, and engagements, automatically update every 1-2 hours. If you notice that they’re not updating, you can try disconnecting and reconnecting your social media channels.

Here’s how:

  1. Click on Channels in the sidebar menu.

  2. Locate the social media channel with the incorrect number of followers and click Remove.

  3. Click Connect, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Your social media stats on your profile should now be updated.

I'm having trouble connecting my Instagram channel

Connecting your Instagram channel can be a little tricky, since it requires that you have an Instagram Professional account connected to a Facebook Page. This is a requirement from Facebook, who own Instagram.

My social media channel keeps disconnecting

inzpire.me uses access tokens to connect to your Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Facebook channels. When you connect a channel, these tokens are provided to us by social networks, with your permission, for a set period of time.

When these tokens expire, or become invalid, you need to reconnect your channel.
